Biography

For Tiffany Pollard it all started in preschool a box of crayons and construction paper. From crayons to pencils and pens to watercolors, her early artistic experiments included a variety of media, styles and materials. After she recieved her first tattoo, Tiffany's interest shifted to a new medium and she became apprentice to Nick Marchino at Hellbomb Tattoos in Downtown Sacramento. Feeling limited but still inspired by the body as a canvas, she left tattooing behind and began instructing makeup artistry. One day, Tiffany impulsively decided to move to San Francisco, where she began bartending, a job that brought her to the Gallery Lounge. This precipitated another shift in her artistic vision.Working in a gallery enviroment where she found inspiration in the &quotlowbrow" art scene, she started painting. This became the new focus and passion in her artistic life. Tiffany still bartends but spends most of her time independently at galleries, museums, bookstores...any venue that will nurture her need to experiment and grow with her love for oils, acrylics and canvas.

Statement

Let me apologize, I'm not to fond of writing a bio. It
could be the fact there's not enough time to tell you
everything mostly because I type with my index fingers
or maybe I just don't want you to know about me or I
choose to remain a mystery to conceal my mutant
superhero powers. Anyhow, I can tell you I've been an
artist all the way back as far as I remember. My first
memory is from when I was two, it is visual, no sound,
just the brightness of every color. Art has ruled me
along the way and has taken many shapes and forms.
Drawing, tattooing, teaching cosmetics to people who
didn't quite know as much as I did and painting to
name a few. Painting is my obsession. I have never felt
like I do about it about anything else. I never attended
art school but I study, read & learn independently. Full
time. My style  isn't consistent because I have an
infinite imagination. I can say that I'm consistently
better or so I've been told.
